How it started

In 2008, Graham was asked to develop a concept for a children's television series set in a dystopian world. As part of the process, he wrote twenty odd pages of backstory.

The series never got off the ground, but Graham always liked the backstory. Years later, he set to work on turning it into a novel.

Being his first novel, the first draft had a lot of rough edges. Several drafts later, he has resolved to re-visit the book in 2019 when he'll have honed his skills more on other titles.

The first four chapters of an early draft are available as a free pdf download from this site, and the book is now on sale in Amazon's Kindle store. Just click on the book cover to go to the Kindle download page.

Genesis of the End - Synopsis

Emily Lucas is about to have her life turn to hell.

The most popular political leader in living memory, she will struggle to remain in control. An explosion at a nanotech research facility in Connecticut unleashes a nanotech plague that alters the DNA of every host it encounters, posing a direct threat to humanity’s survival.

Major cities will be bombed, a fundamentalist religious leader will attempt an opportunistic invasion, and Lucas will face sabotage at every turn. To make matters worse, it will be unclear whether the immensely powerful Global Intelligence Agency is fighting with Emily, or against her.

On the other side of the world, Petra Marsden, is finding the going much better. She manipulates the nanotech to begin building a genetically-engineered army, with the ultimate aim of global dominance.

The only hope for mankind’s survival lies in the most unlikely source. Will it be discovered too late, if at all?

In his first science fiction/fantasy series, Graham Davidson presents a smart, apocalyptic thriller that will take the reader on a wild ride.

The full series

Fire in the Veins is a story of epic proportions. Graham expects it to be told in a series of three trilogies, with the designs for the first three books already completed.

Each trilogy will follow the continuing story through the eyes of  a new generation.

The second trilogy will move the story from Earth to the other planets of the solar system, while the third will take it to the outer reaches of the galaxy and take on epic space opera proportions.
